Every Law is a Statute

Chukat-Balak | Numbers, Bamidbar | 30 June 2020

The Rebbe taught this discourse on Shabbat Chukat-Balak in 1969. The opening words of the Sedra about the Statute of the Red Heifer using the phrase 'the Stautute of the Torah' are explained to mean that all the laws of the Torah have the quality of a Statute.  Rashi connects the law of the Red heifer to Moses, because it is the Moses within us who helps us keep the Statutes, which are beyond our understanding.
