Dividing The Inner Land

How the Torah's instructions to divide the Land of Israel among the tribes also has an inner, personal meaning: each individual must conquer and sanctify their own portion of secular life. The lot combines human and divine elements, teaching that our personal spiritual mission is partly beyond rational calculation.
