Making The Desert Bloom

The Levites' desert journey as pointing to the purpose of all human existence: to make the desert bloom, to transform an empty, spiritually barren environment into a dwelling for G-d. The insight is that this mission is described through the Sages' teaching that the purpose of Creation is to be a place for divine dwelling.
