Joining Worlds

This discourse was delivered by the Rebbe on Shabbat Parshat Vayigash, 5725 (1965), during Chanukah. The Sedra begins with Judah drawing near to Joseph, and the Haftorah has the Prophet Ezekiel joining two pieces of wood to express the future unity of Judah and Joseph. The discourse explores how the joining of these two spiritual forces, representing different aspects of divine service, anticipates the unity that will be achieved under the rule of Moshiach.
