Lehavin Inyan Simchat Torah

5733

This discourse was delivered by the Rebbe on Simchat Torah, 5733 (1972). The joy of Simchat Torah has two meanings: the Jewish people rejoice with the Torah, and they make the Torah rejoice. The discourse explores why dancing expresses both dimensions, explaining that dance using the feet connects to a level beyond intellectual understanding, the Essence of Torah, which is beyond the mind and even beyond ordinary revelation, a level accessed through total, joyful nullification.
