Lehavin Sefirat HaOmer

This discourse was delivered by the Rebbe on Shabbat Sedra Behar (Diaspora), 5747 (1987). There are three approaches to the service of counting the Omer between Pesach and Shavuot, corresponding to the verse 'turn away from bad and do good'. The discourse reveals a third, deeper dimension of Sefirat HaOmer that goes beyond merely improving negative traits or developing positive ones, uncovering a radiance of the soul that transcends the ordinary spiritual work of preparation for Matan Torah.
