Moses Question

Shemot | Exodus | 5719

This discourse was delivered by the Rebbe on Shabbat Parshat Shemot, 5719 (1959). Rabbi Shneur Zalman teaches in Torah Or that Moses' soul came from a higher world, which is why he could not speak easily. The discourse explains that Moses' protest at the Burning Bush 'I cannot speak properly' was not a practical concern but a profound spiritual question: how can the radiance of the Divine be revealed in the limited physical world, especially when it is further concealed by the evil of Egyptian oppression?
