The Blessing Of Sight

Re_eh | Deuteronomy | 5748

This discourse was delivered by the Rebbe on Shabbat Parshat Re'eh, 5748 (1988). The Sedra begins 'See I am giving before you today a blessing and a curse', and Rabbi Shneur Zalman explains that the highest divine Essence, hinted at in the word 'I' (Anochi), is granting the Jewish people a special blessing of spiritual sight. The Rebbe asks why Moses could transmit 'sight' here when he was denied this capacity earlier in Parshat Va-etchanan.
