The Guilty Giving Thanks

Pinchas | Numbers | 5726

This discourse was delivered by the Rebbe on Shabbat Parshat Pinchas, 5726 (1966). The Previous Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Yitzhak, said a discourse beginning with the blessing 'Blessed be He who grants good to those who are guilty' on the Shabbat after his release from Soviet imprisonment in 1927. The Rebbe explores how three discourses said at that time connect to each other, explaining the relationship between guilt, gratitude, blessing and the power of prayer.
