And Moses Drew Near (Yitro 5725)

Yitro | Exodus | 5725

This discourse was delivered by the Rebbe on Shabbat Parshat Yitro, 5725 (1965). The verse 'And Moses entered the thickness of the cloud towards Elokim' is analysed through a discourse by Rabbi Shneur Zalman and the Tzemach Tzedek's commentary. There are two interpretations of 'thickness of the cloud': it can denote the lowest level of concealment in the World of Action, or the highest level of Keter, showing that the Divine is simultaneously most hidden and most revealed in the same place.
