Morning Burst Of Light

Vayeitze | Genesis

This discourse was delivered by the Rebbe on Shabbat Parshat Vayetze, 5748 (1988). The verse 'Laban rose early in the morning and kissed his sons and daughters' is explained in Torah Or and Torat Chaim as describing a spiritual event: 'Laban' meaning 'upper brightness' from the level of Keter, flowing through the worlds as a 'kiss'. The discourse reveals that this happens in the morning of every day, as a fresh burst of divine empowerment flows to every individual.
