The Patriarchs Within

This discourse was delivered by the Rebbe on Shabbat Sedra Va'era, 5734 (1974). The words 'I appeared to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob' can be read not only in the past tense but as a continual present, meaning G-d's revelation to the Patriarchs is ongoing in every Jewish soul. The discourse explores how the spiritual qualities of each Patriarch exist as inner resources within every Jew, available to be drawn upon in daily Divine service.
