This discourse was delivered by the Rebbe on Shabbat Sedra Emor (Diaspora), 5725 (1965). The verse 'I will be sanctified by the Jewish people' describes a flow from below to above, as the Jew's heart flames with desire to be absorbed in G-d's holiness, followed by a Divine response of Torah and Mitzvot flowing from above. The discourse reveals how involuntary holiness, a spontaneous yearning of the soul, forms the basis of the entire system of Divine service.
